With this study, automatic estimations of medial temporal lobe atrophy (MTA), global cortical atrophy (GCA) and white matter hyperintensities (WMHs) were shown to be reliable, providing consistent imaging biomarkers for cognitive disorder diagnosis—for readers of all experience levels. To conduct the assessment of reliability, imaging biomarkers were extracted from T1-weighted and FLAIR images, and visual rating scale values were estimated using a regression model.
