Overlapping presentations make it challenging to differentiate dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) from Alzheimer’s disease (AD). In this study, cCOG, our web-based cognitive testing tool, was modified by adding a visuospatial task and brief clinical survey to help with this differentiation. The cognitive tasks and the brief survey achieved high diagnostic accuracy and were able to discriminate between DLB and AD as well as between DLB and cognitively normal controls. Remote assessment of cognition and clinical features using cCOG could aid in distinguishing between dementias and help provide more timely, accurate diagnosis of DLB and AD.
