To support the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease, a novel statistical modeling and data visualization system was developed to compute an evidence-based estimate of disease state based on patient data (e.g., neuropsychological, clinical, biomarker). The Disease State Fingerprint visualization provides a summary of the patient data and computation results—enabling rapid interpretation. In this assessment of its performance, the system provided estimates that corresponded well with the actual diagnoses and could predict progression from mild cognitive impairment to Alzheimer’s disease.
