Tampere, Finland, March 5, 2018 – Combinostics and Siemens Healthineers today announced a partnership around distribution of Combinostics’ cNeuro® cMRI application through the Siemens Healthineers Digital Ecosystem. The recently FDA 510(k) cleared quantification software cNeuro® cMRI enables clinicians to get objective measurements of atrophy in different brain regions as well as information about amount of white matter hyperintensities, which is particularly useful in dementia and other neurodegenerative diseases. The software quantifies 133 brain regions and calculated volumes are compared to a normative database. The statistical comparison allows clinicians to quickly get an overview of whether there is abnormal atrophy or white matter changes, and in what brain regions. The integration of cNeuro® cMRI into Siemens Healthineers Digital Ecosystem allows its users to seamlessly upload images to cNeuro® cMRI, view results and save a report.
Artificial intelligence, AI, is a hot topic promising major changes in medicine. Our goal is to provide AI solutions that help physicians in their daily decision making in neurology. Being part of the Siemens Healthineers Digital Ecosystem is a tremendous opportunity for us as it allows us to get our products out to end users without having to solve integration with hospital PACS and other healthcare IT systems.
